Way Keat is a Registered Professional Architect in Malaysia (LAM A/T232) and a Registered Architect in Victoria, Australia (ARBV 16716). He graduated in 2004 from the University of Melbourne with a First Class Honours. During the course of his studies, he received the Melbourne Abroad Scholarship to study in Tsinghua University, Beijing as part of the university’s exchange program. After graduation, he has worked in Melbourne, Hong Kong, Macau and Kuala Lumpur with focus on educational, hospitality and high-end residential projects.
Since the formation of TWKA in 2015, WayKeat and his team have completed a wide range of projects in Malaysia including: master planning for an 80-acre government training facilities, space and strategy planning for the 600,000 sqft Sunway College building and architectural design for various condominium projects. The team also provides interior design services and has completed the interior design for a few multinational corporate offices and food & beverage outlets to date.
In all his projects, Way Keat personally involves in both the design and execution stages to ensure the projects’ objectives are met, while keeping functionality and design excellence in check. His meticulous working approach and design methodology are key qualities of his services that often lead to client satisfaction.
Apart from running the practice, Way Keat is also teaching Design Studios at Taylor’s University, Malaysia. He has also served as a guest panelist for various design studios at The University of Melbourne, University Putra Malaysia and UCSI University, Malaysia.
